Lesson for today: LAMININS!

January 20, 2008

Ever heard of Laminins?

It may not look like it, but Java knows her science! Haha! I learned about it today, through a Louie Giglio video shown in Jzone. Giglio talked about Laminins, on how they are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue (wikipedia). Basically, every living creature has laminin cells inside of them. These structures keep our skin together; these cells keep our bodies from falling apart. Pretty amazing facts on their own, but imagine our faces when a picture of a laminin cell was flashed on the screen.

“He is before all things, and IN HIM ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER.” Colossians 1:17

Crazy, right? He is such an artist! It’s amazing how everything has been carefully thought of.

He may not change the circumstances, but He will make it work for us.

I personally also consider other sources as well…

Snopes looked at this particular lecturer’s reference to laminins here: http://www.snopes.com/glurge/laminin.asp
